Roster Terms of Service

1. Overview

Roster is a software platform that helps organizations manage memberships, contacts, events, volunteers, donations, and community engagement.

By using Roster, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Services Provided

Roster provides tools that may include:

  • Contact and membership management
  • Event creation and RSVP tracking
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Donation and membership tracking
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Integrations with third-party services such as PayPal and Stripe

Roster may add, modify, or discontinue features over time.

3. Organization Accounts

Organizations are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Protecting account credentials
  • Ensuring that users accessing the account are authorized to do so

Organizations are responsible for all activity occurring under their account.

4. Payments and Payment Processing

Roster is not a bank, money transmitter, or payment processor.

Payments made through Roster are processed by third-party payment providers, including PayPal and Stripe.

When an organization connects a PayPal or Stripe account:

  • Payments are processed directly by that organization's payment account.
  • Funds are deposited directly to the organization.
  • Roster does not take possession of, hold, or control customer funds.

Organizations are responsible for complying with the terms and policies of any connected payment provider.

5. Platform Fees

Roster is currently offered as part of a beta program and does not charge organizations platform fees.

Roster may introduce subscription fees or other pricing in the future. Any future fees will be disclosed in advance.

Unless otherwise disclosed, any Roster platform fees are separate from payment processing fees charged by PayPal, Stripe, or other providers.

6. Contact Data

Organizations may upload contact information, membership records, payment records, and other data to Roster.

Organizations represent that they have the right to upload and manage such information.

Roster may process uploaded data in order to:

  • Create contact records
  • Track memberships
  • Associate payments with contacts
  • Generate reports and analytics
  • Provide platform functionality

7. Third-Party Services

Roster integrates with third-party services including payment processors, email providers, and calendar systems.

Roster is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.

Use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

8. Availability

Roster strives to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Features may change as the platform evolves.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roster shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.

Roster's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the organization to Roster during the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Organizations may stop using Roster at any time.

Roster may suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, fraud, violation of these Terms, or actions that threaten the security or integrity of the platform.

11. Changes to These Terms

Roster may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
